"Ostomy Australia" is a magazine that is published by the Australian Council of Stoma Associations (ACSA). It is published in April, August & December of each year.

This magazine is distributed to members with their supplies in the month that it is published and if they have not placed an order for that particular month, we will post the magazine out to them along with our newsletter "GO SS" .

GO has their own newsletter which is called "GOSS" (previously known as the GOAN) and it is distributed to members three times a year - these dates coincide with the dates of the national magazine "Ostomy Australia", usually in April, August and December of each year.

The "GOSS" is a great resource for our members as it informs members about everything that is happening within the association. It:

informs them of dates that are important;

informs them of events happening at GO;

provides information about new services or cash sales items as they become available;

includes articles on various stoma or health matters which may be of interest to members;

informs members of changes to procedures;

keeps in touch with our members in the country and those who may be housebound;

advises members when annual subscriptions are due;

gives members an opportunity to express their views in the form of hints, suggestions or criticisms, and to describe personal experiences that could encourage others;

provides a bit of light relief and positive messages to the members.

In general, the "GOSS" is a means through which information can be passed on to members.
