ABOUT US

GOA is a non-government, self-help organisation that is managed by a group of volunteers, most of whom have stomas.

Membership of GOA is available to those who have undergone stomal surgery, and is renewed annually.  Associate membership is available also to other interested persons.

Ostomates (persons who have had stomal surgery) come from all walks of life and in all age groups. Although some adjustments to their lifestyle is necessary, having a stoma does not prevent them from having a fully active and normal lifestyle.
